NIGERIANS, BOYCOTT BRITISH AIRWAYS FROM MAY 15TH!
I had already made up my mind about the boycott but later chanced upon this site after blogging about the meagre apology issued by the Nigerian office of the airline. The Respect Nigerians Coalition (RNC) has issued a press statement urging all Nigerians to boycott British Airways from May 15th due to the failure of the airline to comply with it’s demands mainly to:
1. tender a clear and well-worded apology to all passengers affected by their discriminatory and intimidatory conduct aboard flight BA075 on 27 March, 2008 in a Nigerian national newspaper;
2. tender a clear and well-worded written apology and appropriate compensation to Mr Ayodeji Omotade for financial and emotional losses suffered as a result of the conduct of British Airways and its agents on the day;
3. withdraw all adverse statements made to the police about Mr. Ayodeji Omotade over this incident;
4. lift the ban imposed on Mr Ayodeji Omotade, even as he would still retain his right to decide whether or not to fly British Airways in the future, and
5. issue an undertaking that British Airways shall improve its customer care culture and desist from such practices that give the impression that the airline is arrogant, uncaring and discriminatory.

My boycott for BA has been in place but only travelling to Nigeria and from Nigeria be it the last time was quite a few years back i travelled by them. But I will now extend this ban to worldwide destinations indefinitely.
Please let us all sustain these for as long as we can..and to those not ready to boycott its your human right but BEWARE the same treatment or worse may come your way oneday..I WONDER WHAT THE RESPONSE WILL BE!!!
Congratulation to Mr Omotade and the 136 passengers and the RNC,Nigerianvillagesquare and every Nigerian who is ready to boycott BA.
